The home you buy is likely to be the single most important investment of your lifetime, so we want the design you choose to be, without compromise, your "dream" home. We feature a wide range of distinctive log homes designed for low maintenance living and energy efficiency.

All of our log homes are planned for easy modification should you wish to alter the room layout, change the windows, or make other changes from these standard models. Our design staff is experienced in translating customer's needs into actual blueprints.

We offer complete Custom Designing Services. If you don't see your ideas taking shape in one of our designs, we will help you put your own ideas into practical architectural solutions. Here is how it works:

  • Preliminary Plans: The "first phase" of the Design Service is simply gathering "ideas". Provide us with your sketches, photos, pictures - anything that shows us what you desire - as well as your building site requirements. Our staff will then draw up a "preliminary plan" for your approval. The nominal fee for this preliminary work is credited toward the purchase of your log home.
  • Changes: After you have received the preliminary plan, changes can be marked on the plan sheets and these changes will be reflected in a "secondary preliminary plan" at no additional charge. After changes have been made, they will be incorporated into blueprints and developed into the "working drawing" phase.
  • Working Drawings: In the "working drawing" phase, the complete design concept is translated into blueprints that are used in the actual construction of your Maine Cedar Log Home.
  • Blueprints: Blueprints consist of exterior elevations, foundation plan, floor plans, general cross sections and floor framing layouts - and appropriate construction details needed to make your original ideas become a reality.

We provide 4 sets of blueprints for field construction. When you place your order, all design fees are credited toward the deposit of your log home. Whether you choose a design shown on our website, modify one of them, - or develop a completely new plan, our goal remains the same - to provide you with the very best - in a Maine Cedar Log Home.
